Dr. Jonathan Burstein is an attending physician at BIDMC, where he serves on faculty for both the Harvard Medical School/BIDMC Emergency Medicine Residency Program and the BIDMC EMS Fellowship, as well as the Associate Director of ED Quality. An expert in emergency medical services quality and systems building and disaster medicine and planning, Dr. Burstein also serves as the State EMS Medical Director for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where he oversees quality assurance and clinical care standards and protocols.  Dr. Burstein is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is a frequent speaker on the topics of clinical quality, EMS operations, and disaster planning and management.
