Who We Are

  • We collaborate with international healthcare organizations in the creation of high-quality, efficient emergency care systems and emergency medicine educational programs. View Projects →

  • Our project team members are physicians, nurses, and administrators who understand the daily challenges of operating cost-efficient, patient-focused emergency departments in a variety of clinical settings. On faculty at Harvard Medical School, our physician consultants are academic and clinical physicians who have hands-on experience dealing with the issues that your emergency department encounters daily. Our Department

Our organization is part of Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP), a multi-specialty physician group practice comprised of over 1,000 Harvard Medical School (HMS) faculty members from all the major clinical specialties. HMFP members include internationally-recognized experts across all major academic medical disciplines who occupy key leadership roles within the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and HMS. The heads of all clinical departments at BIDMC, as well as the academic and research program chiefs at BIDMC (who hold concurrent positions as deans at HMS), are all HMFP members. In addition, the Dean of Harvard Medical School and the Dean for Information Technology at Harvard Medical School are also members of HMFP. Our department is also home to the Harvard-Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency and is the headquarters of our managed ED network.

How We Work

We assemble specific project teams based on the unique needs of individual partners, drawing on senior faculty and academic leadership from Harvard Medical School and other Harvard schools, clinical experts, and leaders from within our expansive clinical network.

We are uniquely positioned to apply world-class academic and clinical expertise to the challenges of conceptualizing and planning large-scale, integrated medical education and healthcare delivery projects on the local, regional, national and international levels.

With years of experience advising and guiding our partners across a diverse range of geographic, socio-economic and cultural settings, we understand the complexities of adapting evidence-based best practices to local circumstances in order to optimize health and educational outcomes.

As a result, our international projects division is ideally positioned to be able to deliver top-tier expertise, guidance and leadership in the domains of emergency medicine delivery and education system development via collaboration and academic partnerships created with you and your team.
