Emergency Ultrasound Program Development & Training

Emergency physicians are able to identify life-threatening diagnoses in seconds by using ultrasound at the bedside. The use of ultrasound in the emergency department has been proven to decrease the overall length of stay in the ED, to be a cost-effective approach to making a diagnosis, to increase patient satisfaction and, most importantly, to improve the overall level of patient care.  Our faculty design and teach emergency ultrasound programs that consist of:

• Physician training in emergency ultrasound

• Physician accreditation in emergency ultrasound

• Quality assurance and continuing medical education

• Ultrasound fellowships.
