2013 Tuscan EMS Initiative kicks off with paramedic workshop

Boston EMS and BIDMC paramedics are in Florence this week to kick off the 2013 Tuscan Emergency Medical Services Initiative (TEMSI) program with a workshop on splinting and backboarding. TEMSI launched in 2012 as a joint project between our Department of Emergency Medicine and the University of Florence, Italy. The goal of TEMSI is to create standardized, high quality patient care in the pre-hospital environment in Tuscany. Our department consulted on the creation of TEMSI and continues to consult on course development and curriculum.
