An effective assessment serves as a strategic road map to reaching your goals.  Within our group, we assemble specific assessment teams based on the unique needs of our partners, drawing on senior faculty and academic leadership from Harvard Medical School and other Harvard schools, clinical experts, and leaders from within our expansive clinical network.

Our emergency department assessment programs include:

  • Pre-visit strategic planning with the client to determine objectives and goals;
  • Pre-visit review and analysis of available ED metrics and data;
  • On-site meetings with hospital leadership and interviews with ED leadership, ED clinical and non-clinical personnel, and other relevant network contacts;
  • Post-visit follow-up and data analysis;
  • Comprehensive report highlighting our summary of findings and recommendations for both short-term and long-term successes in reaching departmental goals.

Upon completion of the assessment phase, our project team supports clients in all areas of the project implementation phase.  Our faculty will work with ED leadership and personnel in executing initiatives in areas such as operations, education, leadership training, staffing, and compensation models.
